Afrofuturist and science fiction novelist Octavia Butler writes, "All that you touch you Change. All that you Change, Changes you. The only lasting truth is Change. God is Change." This movement and text based workshop will explore improvisation in both mediums. All welcome, no experience needed!

Set/Change: A Movement and Text Workshop (with artists Jenna Riegel & Sha Harrell)
In Parable of the Sower, Afrofuturist and science fiction novelist Octavia Butler writes, "All that you touch you Change. All that you Change, Changes you. The only lasting truth is Change. God is Change."
This movement and text based workshop will explore improvisational scores that reveal what we perceive as constant, predictable, steady and reliable verses what we experience as mutable, adaptable, fluctuating and shifting. We will pay particular attention to how the individual self is in relationship and dialogue to the communities that we affect, are a part of and that help shape us. This workshop is open to EVERYONE, no prior movement, singing or acting experience is necessary.
