About the Event

CLASS OF GAMES will be an informal workshop led by Michael Galligan, taking you through a series of games and exercises based in improvisation, physical comedy, and theater. The games will foster skills like team building, thinking on your feet, public speaking, and communicating through physicality. Done this before? Great! Never acted before? That's great too! There are games for everyone (and they won't be too scary, promise. Unless you want them to be scary.)

Michael has worked as a teaching artist for 4 years, leading workshops and residencies in New York City public school programs through the Irondale Center in Brooklyn. These workshops aim to develop students' confidence in public speaking, group presentations, and communicating scientific research through the use of theater and ensemble-building games. Michael firmly believes these games can help us to listen better, trust each other, and come to know ourselves a little more deeply.

All experience levels encouraged! No payment or reservation required! Donations always welcome. Some content may be 18+.
