About the Event
This workshop, entitled "Seeing/Seen", is geared to women and femme-identifying people, especially those who are older. Using photo and writing prompts, we will have a conversation around what it means to look at one's own image as well as what it means to be seen by others, especially in an age of social media and the selfie. We're interested in how we perceive the difference between a self-portrait and a selfie and why someone might not be comfortable taking their own photo or having their photograph taken.
Please bring two photographs of yourself (taken by you or someone else), one that you love and one that you do not love. They can be on your phone or prints, but please have them ready to share during the workshop.
If you have a smart phone with a camera, please bring that as well! Paper and pens will be provided.
Suggested Donation: $10
Please be vaccinated to attend, masks optional, stay home if you are sick.
