About the Event

Join is this Saturday afternoon for a roaming dance performance/installation at the Upper Jay Arts Center, by our April 2022 CA+MP Artists-in-Residence Meghan Frederick & Kate Seethaler. This 45-minute, site-specific duet excavates the imaginative life of the material body through movement, texture, and sound. Working from our experiences in early motherhood, we explore dance, motherhood, and gender as performances of the body. Through a multilayered, theatrical approach we re-work shared fears and fanstasies of generative, magical bodies:

Monsters, spells, and majestic beasts.

Guided by staff, audience members will travel through the Upper Jay Arts Center, both inside and out. Full viewing of this show requires the ability to go up and down stairs. Be prepared to witness this performance in proximity, through no audience participation is required.

Suggested donation- $10

Because of close quarters during this show, audience members will be required to wear masks.

Please show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 at the door.
